Conexus Studio | At Labrador Tower in Singapore, Conexus Studio shapes Vallianz Holdings’ headquarters into a fluid maritime narrative — melding heritage, sustainability, and spatial choreography to power collaboration and future-focused growth.

Conexus Studio | When an offshore marine specialist decides to redesign its workplace, the result could easily slip into cliché — nautical motifs, industrial aesthetics, token gestures to corporate branding. Instead, the new headquarters for Vallianz Holdings charts a more nuanced course: an office conceived as a voyage through identity, collaboration, and transformation.

Located within Labrador Tower, the 7,823-square-foot renovation consolidates the company’s operations into a single hub to support its expanding global footprint in offshore marine engineering and energy transition services. The design brief was clear — capture Vallianz’s maritime legacy while plotting a progressive vision aligned with innovation and sustainability.

Modern oriental coin motifs, symbolising flourishing maritime trade, adorn the glass walls of the entrance, sparking curiosity and visual intrigue.

Setting Sail: Navigating Brand and Space

Starting with a carefully considered palette, Vallianz’s signature red cuts boldly yet tastefully through walnut wood and neutral tones, grounding the space in its brand identity without overwhelming the environment. This confident use of color is complemented by open ceilings, which recall the raw structural honesty of ship interiors and contribute to a sense of vastness that is further enhanced by the sweeping waterfront view.

The design immediately immerses visitors in Vallianz’s world. Inspired by the grandeur of a sea voyage, the space uses curved elements to guide people through different zones, much like navigating from one port to another. The concept of flow goes beyond aesthetics, shaping a harmonious environment that encourages organic interaction and a positive workplace energy.

Bold red hues interwoven with timeless neutrals inject confidence and character to the space, creating an atmosphere of distinctive sophistication.

A deep respect for Vallianz’s heritage is evident throughout. Modern interpretations of oriental coin motifs, symbolising flourishing maritime trade, are woven into acoustic panels and glass partitions. Upon entry, a custom display wall showcases intricate ship models set against a geometric interpretation of the company’s logo. The boardroom itself is a centrepiece, a sleek, curved glass structure offering stunning sea views, with strategically placed ship models that appear to float on the horizon — a powerful nod to Vallianz’s industry impact.

Focusing on People and Wellbeing

Beyond its visual appeal, the office is profoundly employee-centric. Ergonomic workstations are strategically positioned to maximize natural light and sweeping sea views, directly enhancing wellbeing and productivity for the team. A dedicated annex suite houses a quiet breakout lounge and versatile meeting rooms, providing a tranquil space for focused work or creative collaboration away from the bustle of the main office. By prioritizing comfort, rejuvenation, and adaptability, the workplace supports employees so they can thrive, reflecting Vallianz’s commitment to empowering its people as it steers confidently from a rich maritime heritage toward innovative, global horizons.

Guided by principles of spatial harmony, the layout encourages collaboration, with workstations and offices arranged to support seamless interaction.

Sustainability is another cornerstone of the project. Cementing Vallianz’s commitment to a greener future, the office incorporates eco-friendly materials like carbon-neutral carpets and acoustic panels made from recycled raw materials. Energy-efficient systems, such as daylight sensors, are integrated to reduce power consumption, meeting the stringent standards of Labrador Tower’s Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy certification.

The result is a workplace that reflects not only what the company does, but what it hopes to become. For Vallianz Holdings, the new headquarters is not just an office — it is a vessel, perfectly rigged to navigate the complexities of the modern energy landscape while remaining firmly anchored in its storied past.

Conexus Studio has transformed the way we connect, collaborate and work at our new office. We appreciate how they blended creativity with purpose, crafting a truly tailored space that fosters a culture of connection, build lasting relationships and amplify our brand identity – a springboard for innovation and boundless possibilities.
