Conexus Studio | Inside a Singapore workplace shaped by science-led design, sustainable materials, flexible planning and collaborative culture merge into a living laboratory for innovation, creativity and responsible growth.

Conexus Studio | Workplace design is often tasked with expressing a brand. Occasionally, it is asked to do something deeper: to embody a philosophy. At Westgate Tower in Singapore, global specialty materials leader Arkema has done precisely that. Working with Conexus Studio on the design and build of its regional headquarters, the new space translates its core values of inclusion and solidarity into architecture, atmosphere and everyday experience. The result is a workplace that feels less like a corporate interior and more like a destination. It’s bright, dynamic, and unapologetically optimistic, designed to inspire not just productivity, but connection, creativity, and a sense of belonging.

A sculptural reception desk and flowing light installation trace Arkema’s “M” motif, creating a distinctive arrival space that reflects the brand.

A First Impression Built to Last

That sense of arrival is established the moment visitors step through the door. The entrance is immersive and expressive, anchored by a suspended logo and a dramatic M-shaped reception desk that commands attention. Overhead, a sculptural ceiling light framed in Arkema’s signature green mirrors the desk’s geometry, creating an energising focal point that sets the tone for everything that follows. A lush moss feature wall introduces a biophilic counterpoint, its organic texture softened further by the company’s guiding slogan, Innovative materials for a sustainable world, embedded within it. Layered wood panels span the ceiling, drawing the eye from the arrival zone toward the pantry beyond, threading warmth and architectural rhythm through the transition.

A flexible workspace integrates focused desks with casual breakout zones, where colour and soft forms encourage interaction and creative thinking.

Throughout the office, colour does the heavy lifting of brand storytelling. Green anchors the palette as a signal of sustainability and continuity, while accents of red, orange and blue punctuate walls, lockers and desk panels with confidence and energy. The effect is one of visual rhythm rather than visual noise — zoning that guides without dictating, and expression that energises without overwhelming. Ceiling contours and graphic shapes echo brand motifs at an architectural scale, ensuring that Arkema’s identity is woven into the fabric of the space rather than applied as an afterthought.

An open workplace landscape combines varied seating, collaborative tables and soft colour zoning to support different modes of work throughout the day.

A Design That Reflects Values

Where the entrance makes a bold statement, the interior sustains a thoughtful conversation. At the heart of the floor plan lies a network of communal spaces conceived to dissolve the boundaries between departments and encourage the kind of spontaneous, cross-functional exchange that formal meeting rooms rarely produce. The pantry serves as the social and spatial anchor — a lively hub where warm light, comfortable seating and an open, inviting atmosphere make connections feel natural. Around it, meeting areas of varying scales cater to different modes of working, from quiet one-on-one discussions to hybrid brainstorming sessions supported by seamlessly integrated technology. The layout flows rather than compartmentalises, prioritising movement and encounter over hierarchy and enclosure.

Framed by expansive views and soft lighting, the boardroom provides a composed environment for discussions, presentations and strategic conversations.

The philosophy underpinning every decision is, at its core, a human one. The office reflects Arkema’s belief that innovation and progress thrive on human connection, avoiding the performative gestures often seen in corporate interiors. Branding and collaboration are embedded into the architecture itself, into the way spaces connect, the way colour guides, the way a ceiling of wood panels draws you gently from one zone to the next. The result is a workplace that not only feels distinctly Arkema but communicates who the firm is with clarity and intent at every turn.

Conexus Studio truly captured our vision, delivering a design that balances innovation with practicality. Our new office inspires us every day, fostering collaboration and creativity in an environment that genuinely reflects who we are. This fresh space will energise and motivate our team as we continue to grow.
