AI Associates | As a global smartphone powerhouse, OPPO required its Malaysian headquarters to be a physical manifestation of its brand ethos: energetic, youthful, and constantly moving. The goal was to create a dynamic ecosystem capable of supporting the organization’s high growth trajectory. This two-floor office is tailored to the principles of maximum flexibility and sustained employee engagement.
The aesthetic sets a lively yet balanced tone. The design achieves a sophisticated blend of global tech identity and local flavor. The primary palette draws inspiration from the colorful Malaysian heritage, while the nation’s natural rainforest is referenced through the pervasive usage of timber surfaces. This use of materials creates a sense of warmth and natural balance, contrasting with the high-tech functionality.
The reception area makes a powerful first impression, featuring a sleek, curved white desk set against a striking slatted timber planter that runs along the glass partitions. The vibrant green OPPO logo stands out, establishing brand presence amidst natural texture. This combination of biophilia and clean lines instantly establishes the office as both organic and highly modern.
Flexibility and Connectivity Driving Performance
Flexibility and multi-functional spaces are core elements befitting this fast-growing company. The office adapts an open workplace concept with multiple collaboration areas that organically encourage networking among the staff.
Key to supporting this agile culture are the multi-purpose spatial solutions. Large training rooms utilize collapsible walls and movable seating, allowing the space to instantly transform from a structured classroom setting into a large open area suitable for town halls or team breakouts. The numerous pantry and café spaces are designed with a hospitality mindset.
Wellness and Brand Expression
The commitment to employee well-being is tangible. The office includes a dedicated gym space, complete with fitness equipment and bold, motivating signage.
